Pickleball

Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country—and for good reason! It’s easy to learn, fun to play, and a great way to stay active at any age. At the Y, we offer a variety of pickleball opportunities for all skill levels, including open play, instructional clinics, and seasonal leagues. Whether you’re brand new to the game or a seasoned player, you’ll find a welcoming community and plenty of chances to play.

Pickleball is a combination of tennis, ping-pong, and badminton that is played on a court about one-third the size of a tennis court with a net that is 34 inches high at the center. Pickleball is played with a paddle and perforated ball, similar to a Wiffle Ball. Please contact Eric Hall, Sports and Family Director, ehall@altavistaymca.com if you are interested in learning how to play.
