Summer Camp

YMCA Summer Camp (4-12 years of age)

Camps at the Y share one thing: they’re about discovery. Kids have the opportunity to explore nature, find new talents, try new activities, gain independence, and make lasting friendships and memories. Our staffing, instruction and programs are built around the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

A Summer of Fun!

Summer camp sites are at the Y Family Center in Altavista, Brookneal Library, Leesville, Concord, Rustburg, Yellow Branch, and Tomahawk Elementary Schools. Operating hours are 6:30am-6:00pm. Weekly field trips, swimming, arts and crafts, and more. Only pay for the weeks your child will be attending. Financial assistance available.

Summer Camp Themes, Field Trips and Swim Days

Your child will never get bored in our summer camp. Each week has a theme, a field trip and built in swim days. From bowling, ropes course, Color Wars, Food Frenzy to Mad Scientist, your child will not only have fun but also learn, grow and thrive in camp.

Be an explorer ,a great artist, or a scientist. Every week in camp is a new theme. Create, discover, learn in a fun and supportive enviorment.

Summer Camp Sites

We have camp sites at the Y Family Center, Brookneal Library, and Concord, Leesville, Rustburg, Tomahawk, and Yellow Branch Elementary schools. Each site has a week full of fun summer acitivites for children.

Registration Completion Form and Requirements

Registration form, checklist, and filed trip form must be completed fully and accurately for consideration into the summer program.
